Yvette van Schie is a makeup artist, hair stylist and anti-ageing beauty therapist and blogger. With 30+ years of experience in commercial, corporate, fashion and bridal makeup, Yvette swears she has never had “a prima donna moment”.
Yvette believes in beauty from within, so, she offers wellness guidance as part of her service and uses only natural skin care and hair care products. “I believe that natural cruelty-free products are the ultimate luxury, I do not use products that compromise your health because to me that is not a beautiful thing.”
Her makeup application is light-handed, and it allows your skin to shine through, my makeup lasts all night without smearing or smudging. She loves creating a beautiful bridal look for my brides which looks glowing, flawless, and natural yet lasts till the last kiss goodbye.
Born in Sydney, where she trained at the Sydney College of Makeup Art, as a beauty therapist at the Ella Bache College of Skin & Beauty Therapy, and as a stylist by The Image Makers. Before this, Yvette had already trained professionally by working for Revlon as a makeup artist for TV shows and fashion events.
She represented Revlon at June Dally Watkins and was Elite Italia Model Management’s preferred makeup artist, as well as being one of their makeup artists on their books. She was International Model’s preferred makeup artist, specialising in fashion parades. As a beauty therapist, makeup artist and stylist, Yvette has worked with many of the prestigious image-makers, including Robert Pante (stylist to the American Presidents and their wives) and The Image Makers.

“I enjoy every part of the process from prepping the talent and getting them in the right headspace even if it means ironing their shirt. I enjoy wardrobe styling as much as I love makeup, and when the budget is tight, I am thrilled to double up as makeup artist and stylist although sometimes I am run into the ground trying to make it work, I still love every minute of the day!” - Yvette van Schie
Today, Yvette keeps active as a commercial and fashion makeup artist today and uses the latest makeup application techniques and hairstyles. She also blogs from her home in the gorgeous Southern Highlands in Australia.
