50% CBD oil - 5000mg in 10ml by GreenLeaf

Our strongest full-spectrum oil, made exclusively for For the Ageless by GreenLeaf Processing. The 50% comes from a deliberately broad cannabinoid profile: 40% CBD, 5% CBG and 5% CBC.

Each 10ml bottle contains 4000mg CBD, 500mg CBG and 500mg CBC, alongside trace cannabinoids and natural terpenes. We wanted the strength customers look for in a 50% oil, but without making the formula almost entirely about CBD. The CBG and CBC are here in proper amounts, not as token extras, and we use pure MCT C8 as the carrier.

At 5000mg in total, one bottle is equivalent to ten 5% 500mg oils or five 10% 1000mg oils, while working out at 3.7p per mg.

One drop provides approximately 20mg CBD, 2.5mg CBG and 2.5mg CBC. That makes this a specialist high-strength oil. If hemp’s natural taste is not for you, there is also a fresh peppermint version.

A higher-spec cannabinoid profile

Each bottle contains 5000mg of full-spectrum cannabinoids: 4000mg CBD, 500mg CBG and 500mg CBC, alongside trace cannabinoids and natural terpenes.

This full-spectrum oil contains:

CBD (40%)
CBG (5%)
CBC (5%)

And traces of:

CBDV
CBDA
THC
natural terpenes

Our Signature Collection’s high-strength drops contain no unnecessary additives and are suitable for vegans. The hemp is grown in the Netherlands following organic production standards. The oil is produced in an ISO 9001 certified facility and is free from GMOs.

After almost ten years working with CBD, full-spectrum is still the format we favour. It is what has worked best for us as a family, and over the years customers have told us the same thing again and again. That experience is one of the main reasons this formula exists. Customers wanted a very strong oil, but we did not want strength simply to mean more and more CBD. We wanted to keep the broader plant profile and give CBG and CBC a meaningful place in it.

CBG (Cannabigerol) is often called the "mother cannabinoid" because its precursor, CBGA, is used by the plant to make several major cannabinoids, including CBD, THC, and CBC. As the plant matures, much of that precursor is converted, which is one reason CBG is usually found in smaller quantities. CBG itself is non-intoxicating and has a broader molecular profile than the familiar CBD-only story might suggest, interacting with cannabinoid receptors and several other signalling systems. Research interest in it has grown considerably, although much of the evidence is still early. Here it is not a token extra: every bottle contains 500mg.
CBC (Cannabichromene) is another non-intoxicating cannabinoid, and one we still rarely see in meaningful quantities in CBD oils. It behaves differently again from CBD and CBG, including activity at TRP channels such as TRPV1 and TRPA1, which has made it increasingly interesting to cannabinoid researchers. Human research remains limited, but once again we wanted enough CBC in the formula to make it a genuine part of the oil: 500mg per bottle, not merely the traces found in many full-spectrum extracts.

The interaction between cannabinoids and terpenes is often described as the entourage effect. For us, the reason for favouring full-spectrum is less abstract: it comes from years of using these products, talking to customers and seeing which ones people return to.

Why pure MCT C8?

The hemp extract is suspended in pure coconut-derived MCT C8, also known as caprylic acid. Standard MCT oils are usually blends, commonly combining C8 with C10. GreenLeaf uses the C8 fraction on its own.

There is a reason for spending more on it. C8 is particularly readily converted into ketones and produces a stronger ketogenic response than the longer MCTs C10 and C12. It also gives the finished oil a light texture and neutral taste. Pure C8 costs more than a standard MCT blend, but for our Signature oil we think it is worth using the better carrier rather than saving on one of the main ingredients.

Product gift + free delivery

This 50% CBD oil comes with a product gift of your choice at checkout, but the pairing we usually suggest is organic CBDA-rich hemp tea. Most customers who have tried the two together love the combination. We do too in our own family.

Hemp tea brings a somewhat different hemp profile. The dry plant naturally contains several cannabinoids, with CBD and CBDA making up most of the cannabinoid content found in hemp teas studied to date. Only part of those cannabinoids transfers into the brewed tea, so we do not use the dry-product percentage to calculate a precise dose. But alongside a full-spectrum oil, it brings another range of naturally occurring hemp compounds into the mix.

That broader combination may be part of why we hear such good things about using the two together. After hearing it often enough, hemp tea became the natural gift to pair with this oil.

A Signature Collection for the Ageless

The Signature Collection grew out of over ten years of trying and testing CBD products, talking to customers and paying close attention to what people actually ask us for.

This 50% oil brings together the strength customers valued in CBD Ultra with the richer full-spectrum profile we have come to favour. Working directly with GreenLeaf lets us keep that concentration while including meaningful amounts of the harder-to-find cannabinoids CBG and CBC, alongside pure MCT C8.

It is an unusually complete high-strength oil: made in small batches, built around ingredients we specifically wanted in the formula, and difficult to find an equivalent to elsewhere. It is one we take ourselves and are happy to share with the people we care about.

GreenLeaf Processing

Established in 2018, GreenLeaf Processing is the wholesale operation behind CBD Brothers (The Original Alternative) and makes the CBD products in our Signature Collection.

We work with them directly on the formulas. GreenLeaf brings years of experience in hemp extraction; we bring the questions, requests and patterns we hear from customers every day. That gives us the freedom to create specialist products around what people are actually looking for.

These are our unique specifications, commissioned by us and made for For the Ageless. We decide what we want in the formula, work through the details directly with GreenLeaf, and can go back to the people making it whenever we want to refine or check something.

Use

Suggested use

Gently swirl (do not shake) the bottle to mix.
Use the pipette carefully to measure your intended amount and place the oil under the tongue. Bear in mind that one full drop contains approximately 20mg CBD.
Hold under the tongue for 1-2 minutes.
Swallow any remaining oil and wash down with a drink of your choice.

1 drop = 20mg CBD, 2.5mg CBG and 2.5mg CBC
1 x 10ml bottle = approximately 200 drops

This is a very concentrated CBD oil. The Food Standards Agency advises healthy adults to limit their total CBD intake from food to 10 mg a day as a precaution.
Use a mirror to ensure you take the intended number of drops.
If you’re having difficulty extracting the remaining drops from the bottle, you can add a few drops of olive or hemp seed oil to make this easier.

What if the oil crystallises?

This formula is designed for greater stability, but be aware that high-percentage oils can crystallise when exposed to very low temperatures. If you are having trouble getting some of the oil out of the bottle or dropper, let it sit inside a mug with warm water until it returns to its liquid form. Repeat if necessary. This won’t affect the quality of the product.

Who is 50% CBD oil suitable for?

This is a specialist high-concentration oil. Because one full drop contains around 20mg CBD, the amount in each drop matters when measuring it.

CBD food products are not recommended for under-18s, people taking medication, those trying to conceive, or people who are pregnant or breastfeeding unless under medical direction.

A stronger oil contains more CBD per drop, so the same CBD amount can be measured in fewer drops and may work out cheaper per mg.
